Update Multistation Series

Operating System for Multistation

What is new in current version:
Now there is a simple way to create a "Play List" for preselection of next to play songs. This can even be done while a song is playing!

- Add a song to play List: set focus onto song (using dial wheel or number keys), do not press ENTER but button "M".
- Manage Play List: while focus is on currently selected song, press "M". Now you see the contents of the play list. By buttons on screen, you can change the order of the songs or delete items from the play list.
- Next song from Playlist is played at any time by pressing FWD-button, or automatically when current song is over.

The most important changes are written in changes.txt.

Procedure for updating theMain Operating System:
Please download the appropriate file for your device type/serial number and extract it's content to your PC's harddisk. You may get the serial number by typing MENU-5 on the device's remote controller. Then copy the extracted files onto floppy disks, a Smartmedia card, or directly onto the Multistation's harddisk. In order to initiate the update process, please call up the [Drives] function, select the file with extension ".UPD" and press ENTER . This file type is shown as "SoftUpdate" by the device. After asking for a confirmation, the Multistation loads the first update file.
In case of using floppy disks, the device will ask for the next file ("Do you have next medium..."). Now please insert the disk that contains the next file and click Yes . This procedure repeats until the last file has been loaded into the Multistation. It is important to insert the diskettes in the right order: after *.UPD follows *.U01, then *.U02 and so on. After the last diskette has been loaded in, please click No, as there are no more files left.
The Multistation will perform several update operations. Do not turn off the device until updating has been completed!
After completion of the update operations, the Multistation shows "Update finished ... Please turn off/on the device". Turn the device off and after a few seconds turn it on again in order to activate the new operating system.
All user settings will automatically be saved before and restored after the update operations, so you do not need to enter your settings again.
