MIDI
The Multistation's MIDI part is based on processing
functions like routing, splitting and merging MIDI data streams.
All processors are configurable by user individually. |
|
|
MIDI Player
|
| |
Playing of standard MIDI file format 0 and
1 is a basic performance of the Multistation. The double MIDI player is
a pretty new feature. Two different standard MIDI files can be faded
in and out with defined fading time. It is useful for continuous playing
of MIDI files without any stop. You can play one song with up to 8 different
sound expanders (on M8), because every MIDI file track can be routed
to any MIDI output or internal sound generator.
Incoming MIDI data can be merged with the MIDI player’s
song data and routed to the outputs. Synchronization by external/internal
MIDI clock and song position pointer or MIDI time code is supported.

Songs Storage
|
| |
Songs can be stored either on the internal
hard drive, on CD-ROM, or on Floppy Disks. |

MIDI Recording
|
| |
Songs can also be transferred to the Multistation
by real time recording through MIDI. You can use the Multistation
as a librarian for various MIDI data, e.g. sys-ex parameter from
your synthesizers, expanders etc., too. The Multistation is able to record
different tracks simultaneously on all MIDI inputs. You can repeat the
recording process until all 64 tracks of standard MIDI file have been recorded. |

|
MIDI Matrix
|
| |
The fully programmable
MIDI matrix
maintains the appropriate connections between your MIDI keyboards
and expanders and offers plenty of useful processing functions. Separate
routing, merging, converting and filtering of different inputs is
possible on a MIDI channel level allowing you realization of any virtual
MIDI connection. The presets will store all settings including processing
functions that can be recalled by the push of a button. |

MIDI Functions
|
| |
Other MIDI functions: Split: 16 zones per input.
Transpose: whole keyboard or any zones by ± 64 half tones.
Filter: for any MIDI data, each input, output and MIDI channel separately.
Velocity: switch, limit, offset. Data Converter: controller converting.
Send Functions: Program change incl. bank select, volume, MIDI-clock,
Send data (any MIDI data). TMR: transparent MIDI reset resets “hanging”
MIDI notes without interrupting the flow of incoming MIDI data. |

AUDIO
The Multistation's Audio part is based on a combination
of 24 bit digital audio technology and 32 bit multi DSP processing.
|
|
Audio Player
|
| |
The built-in audio file player plays up to
8 tracks of digital audio in several file formats (WAV, AIFF, MP3). It may
be used for performing multiple track "audio-only" songs, as well as for
combinations of MIDI and audio files. This is an amazing enrichment for
your MIDI songs. It gives your MIDI files 8 extra digital audio tracks,
containing effects and sounds like vocals or natural instruments, that are
played synchronized to the MIDI files.
There are different modes for calling up audio files on
the Multistation. You can recall short samples from the effects palette
by the push of a button, or you can use them as digital audio tracks
of any length, triggered by notes from the corresponding MIDI song.

MP3
|
| |
The Multistation has a built-in MP3 decoder,
that plays back up to eight MP3 encoded audio files simultaneously. It
is possible to fade from one song to another without stop. An MP3 encoder
will be available as an optional software module. You can use it for
compressing your own audio recordings or digital audio transferred to
the Multistation. This can save you significant storage space.

Audio Recorder
|
| |
The audio signal from any source can be recorded
into a mono or stereo WAV file. |

SoundFont Synthesis
|
| |
The built-in Sound Generator with 64 voices
polyphony is based on wavetable audio synthesis. The Multistation’s
generator works with SoundFont format. You can have different sound
banks stored on hard disk and reload them as needed. The sample RAM can
store up to 40 MB of SoundFonts data, allowing the use of high quality
samples that professionals are demanding. Two virtual MIDI inputs give
the Sound Generator possibility to play up to 32 different instrument sounds
simultaneously (2x16 MIDI channels).
The Multistation comes with a GM compatible SoundFont.

|
Audio Mixer
|
|
The audio mixer can mix all audio tracks,
all 32 parts from the sound generator, line-in and CD-audio. It is possible
to set routing, panning and volumes on each track separately. Any mixer
input can be routed right to one of the analog outputs and/or to the
internal effect processors. The effect processors offer chorus and reverb
effects, with full programmable effect parameters. Additional effects
will be available as optional software modules. |

|
| |
|
CONTROL
of the Multistation is easy because it is equipped
with a remote controller. |
|
|
Touch screen
|
| |
Controlling is based on a full graphic touch
screen display with resolution 320 x 240 pixels. It offers effective
orientation inside MIDI processors and audio parameters and also flexible
song handling and selection. All processors and song lists support sorting
by single touch so you can find desired song or file easily. |

|
Intuitive Design
|
| |
Many screens contain icons for intuitive navigation
in the whole system. Touch any of them and see another view on the
device. |

|
Jobs
|
| |
You can completely automate the playback
process by building song chains and by using the JOB functions. You
can send the start / stop commands either by pushing a button on the
remote control, by pressing the footswitch or via MIDI. |

Karaoke TV
|
| |
The Multistation comes standard with a TV-output
for displaying song lyrics saved in MIDI files on TV screens or video
projectors. Singing is made easy by highlighting the current text part,
while the text smoothly scrolls up through the screen. The text may also
be combined with JPEG pictures. |

|
Lyrics on Remote Controller
|
| |
The Multistation brings you also the Karaoke
function on the remote controller, without need for a TV screen.
Reading song lyrics from the remote controller's display will let
you forget turning over the lyrics pages forever. |

|
Two Remote controllers
|
| |
It is possible to connect two remote controllers
to one Multistation, so that two different people can control the Multistation's
parameter. This is especially helpful in case that different musicians
need to access the Multistation simultaneously, e.g. reading of song
lyrics by two singers in different stage positions. |
